[Artspace] at Untitled is located in the historic Deep Deuce district of downtown Oklahoma City. The Deep Deuce district has a rich cultural history as it was the heart of the black jazz community in the 1920's and 30's and was home to great artists and musicians such as Ralph Waldo Ellison and jazz musician Jimmy Rushing. Before it was abandoned in the 1960's, the space housed an automotive parts supply company, a company that made Army uniforms, and various printing companies. During the 1960's, much of the district fell into disrepair and many of the original buildings were torn down to accommodate urban development. As a result, the warehouse which houses [Artspace] at Untitled is one of only a handful of original buildings that remain in the area.
